Alizée loves Jérémy!

A few days before the debut of her first tour, she has confided herself to 7 Extra

In interviews, you have to use hoards of imagination to obtain concrete info from Alizée's mouth. She's like that, nothing will change her. However, in real life, the young Corsican knows what she wants and shows proof of a rather resolute temperament. Seductive onstage, mischievous in her music videos, here up to now we've learned that she was living a passioned love story with Jérémy from Star Ac! We met them at the beginning of the month, a few days before this revelation that surprised everyone. Some of what she said already talked of a long love story...

Since the beginning of your career, what have been the most notable moments for you?
A: The strongest was no doubt me meeeting with Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat because that's how everything began. And it's also thanks to them that I'm here today. After that, there was the "Les Enfoirés" experience with my participaiton in the Restos du Coeur and that was an amazing adventure. 45 artists took part in the project and I was able to rub shoulders with them. Also, it was for a good cause. After that, I think of al the moments where I meet my fans, whether it's in town, on a TV show or through all the messages I receive from them.

What aspects do you like about your profession?
A: Probably the concerts but I haven't really done that because I haven't been onstage yet with all my songs. But I can't wait to meet the public as soon as my tour begins a few weeks from now.

Happy to be there
Do you think, in the near future, that you'll do a duet with Mylène Farmer? Do you have other duet projects?
A: That's not planned. Not in the near future, nor in the distant future, but maybe one day, who knows? In any case, we've never talked about it. Having said that, I'd like to do a duet. It would be neat with Robbie Williams or Craig David because if ever it happened someday, I'd like it to be with an international artist rather than a French one.

Before meeting Mylène Farmer, were you a fan of her?
A: I liked her style and her songs. I wasn't a fan but I admired very much what she was doing.

Would you be able to release an album in several languages?
A: I've already recorrded songs in English because I began to learn it but I don't imagine doing it in several languages. I think you first have to understand a language before singing it, because otherwise, the emotions aren't the same.

What was the hardest thing for you in the beginning of your career?
A: The most difficult thing was that people said I was a one-hit wonder. People said that I was going to make an album and that afterward, things were going to stop. Now I'm content, happy, and especially proud because things have continued.

Keeping contact
During your travels, do you stay in contact with your parents and your friends?
A: I continue to return to Corsica every week. I try to spend at least two days there to see my family and my friends. I call my parents daily to tell them where I'm at. As for my friends, I call them or I send them photos by e-mail, it all depends on which country I'm in.

Have your friends changed their attitude in the face of your fame?
A: No, they have always remained the same and they're very proud of me.

Do people force you to wear a certain style or do you choose your outfits youself?
A: I do it with Mylène. We choose things that we like and things that most resemble me.

Are you the type of person to follow fashion very closely?
A: No, not necessarily. I like creating my own style. I don't do the opposite of fashion but I don't follow it.

You're soon leaving on tour, where are you at with the preparations?
A: For now, we're dealing especially with the technical questions, and as for me, sports training and singing. Afterward, we'll deal with the details of the stage production and the costumes.

Have you planned certain surprises for your fans?
A: The concert in itself will be a surprise.

Alizée's vacation
I suppose with your tour, you won't have much chance to rest this summer...
A: (laughs) Oh no, that's going to be hard!

The ideal vacation for you is...
A: It would be the beach, the sun, palm trees, and doing nothing all day long.

What's your favorite destination?
A: I don't have an ideal destination. I haven't toured the whole world and to choose a particular place, I'd have to visit every country. But I like islands a lot, I've been to the Seychelles and I loved it.

What's your biggest dream?
A: That would be to swim with a dolphin.

During your vacation, did you wear big glasses so that people wouldn't recognize you or did you have a simple look?
A: I let myself go because during the entire year, I'm in my work world. I always try to show myself discreetly and it's the same for vacation: I do as if I was someone unknown.

Have you had the time to follow shows like Star Academy, Nice People, Loft Story 2?
A: I heard people talking about Star Academy but as for Nice People, I don't even know the name of the contestants. Loft Story is a show that didn't really appeal to me so I haven't seen it.

What do you think of the concept of Star Academy?
A: The Nice People and Loft Story concept is... hmmm, let's say that I'm not going to judge but I prefer Star Academy. You learn how to sing, dance, and maintain yourself, so it's more interesting for young people.

Charm before everything
When you have time, do you follow TV series?
A; I still love Friends a lot, I have all the DVDs at home. I have a soft spot for Rachel's character.

Do you go to the movies often? What's your kind of film?
A: I don't often have the opportunity to go. I'm interested in everything, American productions as well as French. I love action, suspense, romantic films... And also I especially love comedies, to change ideas.

What's your favorite film?
A: Without hesitation, it's Le Grand Blue because I love dolphins and because it reminds me of when I was little. Otherwise, I like Shakespeare In Love a lot.

Who are your favorite actors?
A: I like Julia Roberts a lot. As for boys, my favorites are Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis.

Who was your idol when you were little?
A: Madonna, and it's still the case today.

What is your masculine ideal?
A: I like Robbie Williams a lot, because I think he's good. He's charming and sexy. Actually, I prefer charming men to handsome men. But I could also say Brad Pitt. I don't have a physical ideal because that's not really a criterion for me. As for character, I'd like him to be kind and attentive with me. But at the same time, I like boys who are on another planet, a little crazy, in their head. Crazy in their world but kind and attentive with me.

One of your faults and one of your qualities?
A: My fault is being too curious. My quality is that I'm generous and my parents even say that I'm too generous.

[Sacred mystery!]: Alizée and Jérémy from Star Ac are living a love story. It's not us claiming it, but the magazine Gala. According to them, the two young artists have been living a veritable romance together for several months now after meeting last March 25th, on the Eurobest show. Still according to Gala, everything advanced very quickly between them since they were already living together! Do we now understand better why she confided to our journalist the fact that "she likes boys who are living on another planet"... That corresponds quite well to Mister Chatelain, right?!
